Glossary

What everything means

Refresh cadence

How often Kiteview re-checks your competitors' key pages and aggregates new signals. Daily on Pro, every 6 hours on Business, near real-time on Scale.

"So What?" brief

The layer that separates Kiteview from a search tool. Every signal comes with a short, sourced explanation of what changed, why it matters for your business, and what to do next.

Argus

The named AI assistant built into Kiteview. It reads every signal, battlecard, review, and transcript in your account and answers questions like "How do I handle Competitor X's pricing objection?" with citations.

Argus credit

One request to Argus. Limits are per 7-day rolling window and shared across your team. "UI credits" are requests your team makes in the app; "API credits" are automated calls from your own tools.

Battlecards

Auto-generated sales enablement documents per competitor: positioning, differentiators, common objections, recommended talk tracks, and landmines. Updated as new intel comes in.

Forecasts

Predictive analyses that connect signals into future moves: "Competitor X is hiring ML engineers and updated their pricing page, probably shipping an AI assistant in Q3." Business tier gets 10 per month; Scale is unlimited.

REST API

Programmatic access to your competitive intelligence. Pull signals, battlecards, and competitor data into your own dashboards, CRMs, or analytics tools. Business tier and above.

MCP server

Model Context Protocol. Lets you use Kiteview inside AI-native tools like Claude Desktop, Cursor, or ChatGPT. Read access (list competitors, recent signals, ask Argus) on Business and Scale; Scale adds write-back so AI agents can take actions in your workspace.

Webhooks

Push notifications from Kiteview to your endpoints when something happens (new signal, new brief, new forecast). Useful for piping intel into Slack bots or internal tooling.

Win/loss tagging

Mark a signal with a deal outcome (we won, we lost, no deal) and a short reason inline on the signal card. Tags feed straight back into the next battlecard generation, so battlecards reflect actual deals — not just public-web intel.

SSO

Single sign-on through Google Workspace or Okta. Lets you provision and deprovision Kiteview accounts through your existing identity tooling. Scale only.

Audit log

A record of every action taken in your account (logins, permission changes, competitor adds, API key rotations) that Scale customers can export for security or compliance reviews.

Founder office hours

Scale customers get a 30-minute Zoom with the founder once per quarter. Not a CSM, not enterprise sales motion — a standing perk for direct feedback and roadmap input.

SLA

Service-Level Agreement: maximum response time on support tickets. 24h on Pro, 24h priority on Business, 4h priority chat on Scale. "Priority" means your tickets jump the queue.
